Task 5: Presentation of portfolio: The practical element of your project should be in its final stages: you will complete and make a presentation of your creative professional portfolio to your lecturer and peers on date: 4/12/17
Following on from feedback from your presentation you will now make a final assessment of your project: This should be at least 1000 words.

Task 4: Project PORTFOLIO
You will now begin to create your portfolio of images around your selected theme.
- Begin test work and edit workflow
- Refine further, test, create
- Attend critique sessions for feedback
- Interpret research activity to develop ideas for creative production.
- Use knowledge of characteristics and context to plan and develop creative solutions for a chosen media and communication activity.
- Apply practical skills, knowledge and understanding of characteristics and contexts to produce creative solutions for a chosen media and communication activity.

Task 3: PROJECT PROPOSAL: 9/10/17
- Project proposal presentation to lecturer and peers.
- A 10 minute presentation (In class or pre recorder) of your research findings, influences, audience, project ideas, mood boards, production planning, health and safety
Following on from feedback from your lecturer and peers, you will make an in-depth critical reflection on your proposal, making adjustments before re-submitting the proposal to your lecturer for agreement. Reflection should be a minimum of 500 words.
- Critically evaluate creative solutions against identified characteristics and context for a chosen media and communication activity.
- Critically evaluate creative solutions against identified audience characteristics.
Once your lecturer has agreed that your project can proceed, you will begin the practical part of this project. (L3, Y2 Photography Project 1 2017)
Task 2: CORE AUDIENCE
- You will investigate who the core audience is for this project and ensure that your research project enables you to integrate your findings into the idea generation and production plan for this project.
- You must show independence in decision making and use the correct media and processes to complete this project.
- Critically evaluate and reflect on your findings as you progress
- Use the information learned here to inform your ideas and choices moving forward for this project and build them into your project proposal. (In task 3)

I did a lot of research for my ideas, half of which turned out to be irrelevant as I changed my idea but it did still help.
Dannielle Drayton, is a level three Photography student at Rotherham College. She will be progressing to the extended diploma in September.
She has loved nature ever since she was young. Her work here explores the relationship between light and flowers.
Dannielle loves how simple certain flowers can look, so at first, the theme was simply to be flowers in their natural environment; Dannielle looked into how to correctly use the mixture of light and flowers and with the influences of Harold Davis and Heather Angel, decided upon lighting the flowers in this way.
She believes the simplicity of the context, the style of lighting, and how the light illuminates the flowers, allows the viewer to focus fully on the content within the frame.
Dannielle has always liked more simplistic/minimalistic images, so this project was very fitting for her.
